TRANSPARENT is one of the experiments of the Horizons Mission 2018 being carried out aboard the International Space Station. Its aim is to understand of the properties of molten materials as they solidify, in particular crystal formation, to study the underlying processes of metallurgy and materials science.
This part of a series of videos we are developing for the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in the framework of the #horizons misson, in collaboration with EJR-Quartz.
